Mr. Apom has an MBA degree – Marketing from UPSA, Ghana, and currently works as a Senior Project Manager at GNBCC. He has supported over 110 Dutch-Ghanaian companies by facilitating trade and
enterprise growth. He built a stakeholder database for Ghana’s water sector, supported the ViaWater
and New Business Challenge projects, and implemented initiatives like the Dutch Export Academy and Orange Corners. He has contributed to agribusiness programs like YEP Water and AgroFood. He manages the Horticulture Business Platform to drive policy and collaboration in Ghana’s horticulture
sector, fostering enterprise growth, food security, and Dutch-Ghanaian partnerships. He is a research consultant with over 10 years of experience in conducting baseline surveys, designing research methodologies, and performing rigorous statistical analyses. He holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), a degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Ghana, and a postgraduate diploma in software development from the Meltwater Entrepreneurship School of Technology (MEST). He specializes in using software tools for conducting market research studies and managing research data.
As a young software entrepreneur, Barnabas’s passion for business began at the University of Ghana. His innovative startup ideas earned him a two-year scholarship immediately after university to pursue a postgraduate diploma in software development, entrepreneurship, and startup management at MEST, a Norwegian software incubator and school in Ghana.
After completing the program, he worked briefly before founding his own company in 2014. In January 2016, Barnabas joined the Young Experts Programme (YEP), an initiative sponsored by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP). He served as a liaison for Dutch companies interested in doing business in Ghana. Through this international program, he had the opportunity to work with esteemed organizations such as NWP, AKVO, VIA Water, NABC, and GNBCC—many of which collaborate closely with the Dutch Embassy in Accra.
As the NWP liaison in Ghana, Barnabas connected with over 100 Dutch companies seeking to undertake water-related projects in Ghana. He currently holds a permanent consultancy role with the Ghana Netherlands Business and Culture Council (GNBCC), the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, which supports over 100 Dutch-Ghanaian companies in Ghana. This role grants him access to major companies in both Ghana and Europe.
Prior to the GNBCC/YEP program, Barnabas worked as a sub-consultant with organizations such as Skyfox-Ghana and Kinaj Consulting. He also collaborated with various stakeholders in the water sector, focusing on access to safe drinking water, sanitation, WASH in schools, and sustainability studies. His responsibilities included field data collection using mobile devices and modern technologies.
Barnabas now runs Researchlime Ltd full-time, supporting organizations and individuals with market research services for field projects across Ghana.
Data Analysts and Quality Control Manager
Derrick is an experienced researcher, business analyst, and statistician with a demonstrated ability to use statistical techniques and emerging information technologies to manage and analyze large, complex datasets. He also conducts both qualitative and quantitative research across various areas of business operations.

Derrick currently serves as the Head of Quality Assurance at Heritage Christian College (HCC).
In this role, he oversees and coordinates HCC’s engagement with both internal and external quality assurance processes, aiming to maintain academic standards and enhance the student learning experience. He promotes a cohesive approach to quality assurance and encourages inter-faculty and inter-departmental sharing of effective practices.
Derrick advises recognized committees on the outcomes of internal and external reviews and explores opportunities to discuss these findings at relevant college meetings. He also attends and contributes to faculty and staff orientation sessions, as well as associated seminars and workshops for professional development.
Additionally, he reviews HCC’s Quality Assurance Policy and standards to ensure they remain appropriate, consistent, and compliant with all regulatory and quality benchmarks. He represents HCC at conferences and events to stay updated on developments in the field and to gain and share insights.
Monitoring and Evaluation Expert
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
Philip Kojo Ochire is a mathematical statistician with five years of experience in social and market research, as well as project monitoring and evaluation. He began his research career with Oxford Research Group Ghana in 2012, where he led various teams on several projects.
Ochire was first introduced to the corporate environment through Scanship Ghana Limited, where he worked from 2007 to 2010. During this period, he assumed various roles including office clerk, documentation officer, and shipping supervisor.
From 2015 to 2017, he served as a teaching and research assistant at Data Link University College in Tema. He is currently a consulting staff member for both Nelson Group and Ten Forward International Group.
Ochire is a graduate student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), pursuing an MSc in Applied Statistics. His academic research interests lie in the area of congestion control, specifically through the application of stochastic queuing networks. He obtained a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from the Methodist University College Ghana in 2014.

Gender and Training Specialist
Jemilatu Mashood has an excellent career track record spanning almost ten (10) years, specializing in community mobilization and engagement, particularly in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector. She has directly interfaced with over 200 communities across several projects, especially within the WASH sector, supporting them in developing functional structures to manage their water facilities.
In related efforts, she has worked with communities on the connection between water, hygiene education, and basic sanitation promotion through her roles in local NGOs, mining foundations, and consulting groups.
As Project Coordinator with Kinkaway Foundation—a local NGO working in underprivileged mining communities—her core responsibilities included leading the organization’s corporate social responsibility efforts. These involved facilitating the extension of essential services such as health, education, and water to affected communities. She also led initiatives to build relationships with government agencies and development partners, and mobilized resources from various organizations to support the foundation’s work. As part of this role, she engaged in advocacy on gender issues, women and children’s rights, and the empowerment of different community segments.
She currently serves as the Field Coordinator for the Dutch-funded SMARTer WASH project, implemented in six regions. Under this project, she has successfully mobilized over 250 communities, including those in Bosomtwi District (Ashanti Region), and Greater Accra (with a focus on Shai Osudoku, Ga South, and Ga West Municipalities), Sunyani West District, and the Western Region. She served as the lead trainer on the use of SMS technology for reporting the functionality of water and sanitation facilities in communities. Over time, she developed strong working relationships with several district assemblies and trained their staff on SMS-based monitoring for sustainability.
Jemilatu has also established networks with key national-level government stakeholders critical to the success of development interventions.
She has gained extensive experience in the effective implementation and coordination of projects. Throughout her career, she has been exposed to practical monitoring tools, data collection and analysis techniques, and has actively engaged in networking with civil society organizations at both national and local levels. Her report-writing skills are highly developed, as demonstrated by her academic research, published papers, and routine project reports. She has delivered several presentations to donors and at national water forums, showcasing her excellent oral and written communication and analytical abilities.
Jemilatu holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Integrated Development Studies. She has a basic working knowledge of French and fluently speaks five Ghanaian languages: Twi, Dagbani, Gonja, Safalba, and Wala.
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and Community Development Professional
Mr. Michael Mohammed Tia-Adjei is a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist and Community Development Professional. Over the past two years, he has successfully conducted two endline evaluations for the WASH Alliance International Ghana Chapter as an M&E Consultant.
He holds a Certificate in Advanced Monitoring and Evaluation from GIMPA/ACCE and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematical and Environmental Science (Statistics Option) from the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana. Additionally, he possesses a 3-Year Teachers’ Certificate ‘A’ in Mathematics and Science from Bagabaga College of Education, Tamale.
Mr. Tia-Adjei’s work experience in development-oriented organizations has provided him with extensive practice in project evaluations, planning, implementation, and budgeting. He has exceptional skills in project report writing, administration, management, facilitation, and organization. A remarkable team player, he also demonstrates strong communication and client service skills. He is proficient in English, with basic knowledge of French.
He has excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), SPSS, Epi Info (for data analysis and interpretation), Akvo FLOW and Qualtrics (for data collection), and Akvo RSR (for real-time project activity reporting).
From June to September 2017, he worked with USAID-METSS as a Supervisor/Enumerator, where he was responsible for administering surveys and ensuring his team adhered to standard survey protocols to ensure high-quality data collection.
He also worked with WASH Alliance International as an In-Country M&E Officer, where he successfully conducted two outcome measurement surveys (in 2015 and 2016), covering eight districts in the Northern Region. Prior to that, he served as an intern at the Extension Services Specialist Unit of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) in Tamale.

He also served as an IT Administrator and Researcher at the Ghana-Korea Information Access Centre for four years. His background includes over seven years of professional research experience in data analysis, systems implementation, proposal writing, monitoring and verification, data collection, coordination, research design, and training.
Currently, Kingsley is pursuing a PhD in Information Systems at the University of Ghana, while also serving as a part-time lecturer.
